Malawi – Here We Come!

In a few short weeks, a group of 10 Rotarians & Friends will be heading to Malawi. The group will be leaving on Monday, April 30th, 2012 for 3 weeks of “sweat equity”. The group will mainly be working with our partner in Malawi, Emmanuel International to help build a school classroom at a new school, Mbidi Jr. Primary School. Just to give you an idea, there are 600 students, 6 teachers, 4 brick classrooms, 2 classes under a tree outside and 2 classes in a grass thatched room. With our help, we will be able to provide much needed assistance and make the school a better learning environment for the students and that is very important. We will also be helping with other activities. Donations are being accepted so please see our contact page for details. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Keep checking back as updates will come once we arrive in Zomba, Malawi.
