So much has been done!

Wow!  The classrooms have been painted inside and out.  The bars in the windows have been primed and painted green.  The front gate is now a bright shiny green. The Vishnu sculpture in the hall entrance has been clearly defined with the white background. The pathways and gardens have received very special attention from our landscaping team. And Paul Truelove has worked with the culinary instructor and class to prepare a great lunch every day.  We watched them catch the fish in the school pond for some of the meals.

Chris and Brian say they have never had a team work so well together.  If you were no longer needed at one task you went out and found the next job where you were needed.

Tuesday was raining, Scotch mist but most of the walls had a good overhang.  The gate and fencing had to wait but we got it all done today.

We are wiped!!

Tomorrow is the official blessing of the buildings and ribbon cutting – more on that tomorrow night.  We have accomplished a lot but have been very aware that we are not to impose our culture on them – after all theirs is much older!!

One comment – there are more than double the number of motorbikes than our last trip five years ago. Let’s hope they don’t all try to move up to full autos too soon – at least not before the roads are improved!

The gate crew with finished product!

Yes, the classroom block is Canada Red – and note the landscaping.

Vishna in glory against the white wall

Not rain, sleet or snow would stop these intrepid gardeners on Tuesday
